The Edmonton Oilers have added another body to training camp.
The defending Western Conference champions signed forward Jasper Weatherby to a professional tryout agreement on Thursday, the team announced.
Weatherby, 26, spent the entirety of last season in the AHL and recorded 12 goals and 13 assists in 66 games with the Milwaukee Admirals.
The Portland, Ore., native was originally selected by the San Jose Sharks in the fourth round of the 2018 NHL Draft. His only time at the NHL level came with the Sharks in the 2020-21 season when he finished with five goals and six assists in 50 games.
