This year, renowned rapper Vince Staples dropped his eighth studio album Dark Times, with the track “Little Homies” standing out as one of its true highlights. I’ve been into Vince ever since I heard Big Fish Theory, but admittedly, that is an album I enjoyed mainly for the production. I know I’m late to the party, but it wasn’t until this year that I heard his verse on Earl Sweatshirt’s “Hive,” and it ignited my fascination with his lyricism. He showcases this and more on Dark Times, and towards the end of the project we’re acquainted with the optimistic “Little Homies”. The instrumental produced by LeKen Taylor and Kaelin Ellis carries an uplifting groove section, and is complemented by a catchy chorus, making for the perfect track to lift your spirit through the day. His vulnerable songwriting throughout his verses certainly can’t escape mention as this creates a compelling contrast. The post Vince Staples – Little Homies appeared first on Stereofox Music Blog.
