The club’s director Shaun Harvey believes promotion to the third-tier has given their story ‘credibility’ and it has moved them from ‘a little bit of a novelty act nearer to the mainstream’. They will now be aiming to keep the bandwagon rolling by securing a place in the Championship. But that will be easier said than done with some big clubs in contention for promotion to the English second-tier. Birmingham City, Huddersfield Town and Rotherham United will all be vying for an immediate return to the Championship and given their squad quality, the trio have an excellent chance.
